I produced this mix for the Listening Room, Floating Library Project:
"The Floating Library is a pop-up salon that will take place during the month of September 2014 aboard the Lilac Museum Steamship. The project intends to recodify how we occupy public spaces through creating a mobile device-free space for activities that are typically confined within privileged institutional walls; this includes reading, writing, researching, questioning and debating."

"Our biggest problem in assaulting the Media will be to invent a tactic which cannot be recuperated by Babylon and turned to its own power-advantage."
Excerpts from Bey, H, 2002, MediaHex, the Occult Assault on Institutions, 337.
I had to create a soundscape relationally to a book. I could pick the book I wanted. So I picked Hakim Bey's "Temporary Autonomous Zone" (what else than pirates stories on a boat?). As a soundscape for TAZ, I've created a playlist of 80 heavy dub/digital dubstepper tracks, plus the 18 minutes mix you are listening to right now. I donate both the book and the Ipod to the Floating Library Project. I'm currently writing my paper for this project, come back in few days to learn more ;P
